Summer festivals allow you to take advantage of your days off doing what you like best outdoors, in a relaxed atmosphere and accompanied by people with similar interests.

In this selection you will find above all festivals where you can take care of yourself, learn and share values. At the end, we have also included a small list of proposals outside of Spain in case you travel this summer.

Yoga Festival: Holidays for the new times.

The Besalú Yoga Festival celebrates its 15th edition with the aim of offering the possibility of practicing yoga, singing, participating in workshops on various topics, trying therapies, attending shows and concerts, eating vegetarian, bathing in a pool, going on an excursion …

Summer: summer and alternative vacations

Estivalia is a project, based on personal development, that has been held for four years in different natural environments in Spain, such as Andalusia, La Rioja, La Mancha and Galicia.

Estivalia is defined as a “school of life”, which aims to contribute to the well-being of the human being with himself and with his social environment.

• When and where it is celebrated: from August 2 to 23 in different locations in Spain.

Osho Festival, the feast of meditation

Osho Festival celebrates a new edition with an assorted program that includes Osho active meditations and demos of meditative therapies, as well as workshops and other activities related to the world of Osho.

During the festival there will be live music by Deva Alchi and an experienced band of musicians gathered for the occasion.

• When it is celebrated: from August 7 to 11.
• Where: in Amalurra, Bizcaia.

The pachamama returns to Rototom

This space of reconnection with the land and of personal growth has a new edition in the daytime program of the Rototom reggae festival.

Natural therapies, yoga, meditation, dance, permaculture, conscious eating… make up its offer of workshops, show cooking and talks, which grows year after year.

• When is it celebrated: from August 16 to 22.
• Where: Benicàssim, in Castellón.

Bioritme Festival: music, nature, ecology and awareness

For 4 days and 4 nights you can enjoy music from around the world, committed, critical and constructive music at the Bioritme Festival.

The ecology is also one of the pillars of the festival: all products offered in bars and posts will be 100% ecological and proximity.

• When is it celebrated: from August 22 to 25.
• Where: Pantà de Sau, in Vilanova de Sau (Barcelona).

A day among free horses

The Miranda Foundation organizes an activity to learn how free horses live. The aim is to offer more information about their natural habitat, how they feed and what their habits are.

It is a good opportunity to learn about the links that are generated between horses and human beings.

• When is it celebrated: between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in Sant Julià de Cerdanyola (Barcelona).
• Where: Fundació Miranda.

From 1 to 4 August, the UK Green Gathering is held in Chepstow, Wales, an alternative meeting of entertainment and environmental awareness that takes place, how could it be otherwise, in the middle of nature.

With a long history, it is designed to relax and enjoy outdoor activities with your mind and heart set on the sustainability of the planet and alternative life.

Berlin

At the end of the month, between the 23rd and 25th of August, a great vegan festival takes place in the popular Berlin square of Alexanderplatz: the Veganes Sommerfest Berlin.

Belgium

If you are in Belgian lands, you may want to visit the Flemish city of Ghent on August 17. There, at the Flanders Expo Ghent, the Vegan Summer Fest takes place that day , which is billed as the largest vegan festival in the entire Benelux to date.
